We value one-on-one attention and find it is really important. While a student is working with a client, which every student does during the training, I’m there to support them through the entire session. Keeping our class size small is what makes that individualized attention possible.
Every client is different, new, and unique, so the more experience you’ve had with a wide variety of people, the more you can offer your own clients. I’ve been a colon therapist for over 20 years and have learned a great deal in that time, and I share all of it with my students. Knowing how to truly be there for a client is essential, and that only comes with experience.
You can’t learn how to support a client, listen to them, and sense how they’re feeling from an online course. That awareness is so important when you’re performing colon hydrotherapy. I expand on this more in our blog post How to Choose a Colon Hydrotherapy Training Program
A new team of fully qualified certified I-ACT instructors will take over to teach the training. And I will still to be here as a mentor to those instructors to advise and answer questions. So my expertise will still be there to guide and support future classes of students.
They come away loving the work. Everyone who has gone through the training absolutely loves being a colon therapist. There’s also the connection you build with your fellow students, which becomes a lifetime bond that goes really deep.

If someone wants to do this simply because they see it as a business to make money, it isn’t the right fit. You can absolutely earn a living from this work, but coming into it purely for financial reasons isn’t the right reason. The Aquanet EC-2000 is made here in Vancouver, BC. It’s a Canadian company and I like to support local. It offers both gravity and pressure, so when a client asks for gravity, we have that available. And because the company, Prime Pacific, is local, parts and support are easy to get. That said Prime Pacific does service the US and worldwide.
With an open system, there’s no colon therapist working alongside you, you operate the dials yourself. Many people don’t feel comfortable doing that. With a closed system you have a colon hydrotherapist there with you the entire session, operating the equipment system guiding and supporting you every step of the way. So it comes down to client choice: whether they want a trained colon therapist in the room with them, or prefer the privacy of managing the session on their own.
I believe so, yes. With the closed system on the Aquanet EC-2000, we can gradually and gently flow the water deeper into the colon. Unless someone is very experienced with an open system, it’s harder to achieve that same depth.
Here are some estimates here in Canada: The Aquanet EC-2000 equipment is about $12,000 CAD. For a space, renting a room within an existing clinic, might be around $1,500. The client kits from Prime Pacific are about $10 each. Realistically, you could start with roughly $12,000 for equipment, about $1,500 for the room, and $10 per client, bringing a realistic all-in start-up cost to around $25,000. Here in Vancouver and in small towns across British Columbia (BC) and Alberta (AB), Canada. Most graduates have chosen to open their own clinics or small practices, and I support them in any way I can.
There is a lot of support through your professional membership with I-ACT. They have a dedicated online discussion forum where you can connect with other colon hydrotherapists. There is an annual conference for continuing education. You can also call I-ACT any time and they’ll answer your questions. And if you’ve trained with me, I’m always happy to help support you to open your own clinic. My husband is a expert equipment technician with over 20 years of experience so you’ll have access to our combined expertise.
You can retake the National Board certification if you don’t pass on the first attempt. The National Board website has plenty of material to read and study. There’s additional support available too, for example an I-ACT mentor offers online review courses to help you prepare.
The Inner Garden program is a shorter course that covers half of the I-ACT certification. It’s a place to begin: you can start slowly, complete half the program, and then continue down the road to finish the full I-ACT and National Board certification. Think of it as your beginning, a start.
We created it because many schools offer online-only training with very short certification programs, and have very little if no experience working with actual clients. My goal is to make sure colon therapists are properly trained upholding the highest standards in the field. One of the biggest advantages of our training is that, when taking the full certification program, you complete 35 supervised clinical hands-on sessions with real clients, something you simply can’t get from a few days of online training. This is something no other training in Canada offers.
In my view, it isn’t sufficient. Without hands-on training, how would you actually know for example how to insert the speculum correctly? That practical, supervised in person experience is essential. I share more thoughts on this in our blog post How to Choose a Colon Hydrotherapy Training Program
Yes, we welcome students to come study with us who live outside of Vancouver, coming from another province within Canada, or internationally. Our programs uphold the highest international standards in the field of colon hydrotherapy and are recognized across Canada and worldwide. Students coming from out of town will fly or drive to our location and stay locally. Many nearby accommodations are available through Airbnb, Homestay.com, or local hotels. Please note that finding accommodations and making arrangements are a separate expense from the total program cost.
