People often ask me, “How did you ever decide to become a colon hydrotherapist?”
I always smile because, honestly, it wasn’t a career I ever imagined for myself. It found me during one of the most difficult times in my life.
There was a period when I was so unwell that I was off work for nearly two years. During that time, I searched for answers everywhere. I explored natural healing, nutrition, detoxification, and lifestyle changes, hoping to regain my health.
As part of my journey, I completed both an Ayuvedic cleanse and the Ann Wigmore cleansing program. One thing they had in common was the belief that the body heals more effectively when the large intestine is functioning well. Both programs included cleansing the colon with water as part of the healing process.
The difference I experienced was remarkable.
Inspired by everything I was learning, my husband and I opened Inner Garden Health, where we began growing fresh wheatgrass and sprouts to support people’s health naturally. But I wanted to do more.
I decided to train as a colon hydrotherapist because I had experienced firsthand how powerful supporting the body’s natural elimination process could be. My goal wasn’t simply to perform a treatment—it was to help people feel better, regain hope, and support their own wellness journey.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of clients. One of the greatest joys of my career has been seeing people regain energy, feel lighter, improve their digestion, and feel empowered to take charge of their health. Every person is unique, and while no single therapy is the answer for everyone, supporting healthy bowel function can be an important part of overall wellness.
People still ask me, “How could you choose this as a career?”
My answer is always the same.
Because I love helping people.
Helping others discover better health has become my life’s work.
As my passion for colon hydrotherapy grew, I realized I wanted to do more than work one-on-one with clients. I wanted to inspire and educate others to become skilled, compassionate colon hydrotherapists as well.
Today, I am proud to be a certified instructor, teaching students through the Inner Garden Colon Hydrotherapy Training School. Watching students gain confidence, develop professional skills, and begin careers helping others is just as rewarding as working with clients myself.
Whether someone comes to Inner Garden Health seeking better digestive wellness or arrives with the dream of becoming a professional colon hydrotherapist, my goal is the same—to provide education, encouragement, and the highest standard of care.
More than 25 years later, I still feel grateful that my own healing journey led me here. What began as a search for answers became a lifelong passion, and now I have the privilege of sharing that passion with both my clients and the next generation of colon hydrotherapists.
